In the news recently were reports that the eradication of the introduced myna birds on
Atiu in the
Cook Islands has led to an
increase in the number of coconut stick insects (which I assume to be
Graeffea crouanii). I can't seem to find anything in the published literature about this, but Gerald McCormack is a well known natural historian of the Cook Islands, and has previously photographed a myna bird eating stick insects.
